Fall Orientation
The Department of Space Studies offers an annual "Orientation Conference" prior to fall semester as an orientation to the program, faculty, and UND.
This conference provides an opportunity to visit the UND campus, meet professors and other students, and tour the UND Campus, Space Studies labs, Lunar/Mars habitat, and School of Aerospace facilities. There will also be sessions with the Space Studies Graduate Director and Chester Fritz librarians, as well as training for using Blackboard and Campus Connection, and understanding the Graduate School forms process. A visit to the Space Studies Observatory may be planned. Orientation is open to all newly-admitted students in the program and to those already part-way through their program.
Attendance is not required, but strongly recommended for your benefit. Please submit your registration form as early as possible. Students are responsible for their own travel expenses, including lodging and most meals. Some meals will be provided. UND Housing is not available due to campus students moving into the dorms for fall semester. If you are unable to attend, recorded sessions will be made available later in Blackboard. Please contact the Space Studies Department if you have any questions.
