Robinson R44 Cadet
The Robinson R44 Cadet is a 2-seat derivative of the venerable R44, the world's best-selling helicopter. The Cadet was designed specifically with training in mind. Our Cadet is the first to be used in a University training environment and is equipped with the latest in Garmin avionics, including the G500H glass cockpit and GTN 750 touchscreen GPS. The R44 is used primarily in the instrument training course and the Robinson SFAR transition course.
The Sikorsky 300C is one of the most powerful piston-powered helicopters produced. When designing the 300C, the manufacturer had training specifically in mind, by creating a large cabin which allows comfortable seating for both instructor and student of all sizes. UND has designed and upgraded the cockpit of the 300C to incorporate new glass-panel technology to give students an edge in their training. UND Aerospace incorporates the Sikorsky in private, commercial, instrument, and CFI flight courses.
