Space Studies Symposium
The Space Studies Symposium (S3) was established with the objective of fostering collaboration and building connections across the multidisciplinary field of space science. This event is designed to bring together students, faculty, and alumni to share their research and establish new academic connections. Beyond strengthening internal ties, S3 seeks to help graduate students improve their research projects.
The inaugural edition of the S3 was held in 2018, with a subsequent edition taking place in 2019. The third edition was canceled due to the pandemic. The objective is to resume this significant research event to establish a platform that showcases student scholarship and research by students at the Department of Space Studies at the University of North Dakota. The Symposium is a forum for the presentation of research findings to the academic community, peers, and the broader public through oral presentations.
Open to all current graduate students, the Space Studies Symposium aims to promote interdisciplinary research and collaboration in the hope of instilling our students with the importance of exploring issues from multiple perspectives. Proposals that cross boundaries among disciplines are thus encouraged.
